We are a go for takeoff...

We are on our way..first stop..Fargo North Dakota..GPS tells me that it is a quick little hop, skip and jump..1014 miles due West..
Weve been packing busily all day..though prepping for about 10 days...we told ourselves we don't need as much stuff this time..We know what we are doing..and I do think we did pack smarter and leaner..however..We are still six people..four of whom are a little bigger than last trip two years ago..and although much time and thought went into packing we are still pretty full in the swagger wagon..
Nick is out of his mind excited..he's been asking me since 8 o'clock..when are we leaving? Where is dad? Is he upstairs? Sleeping? HE'S SLEEPING? ? but we are leaving..mom..mom..when can we wake him up? Can we wake him now? How about now? ..and on it went until the object of his concern came down the stairs around 10:30..
So glad Christian was able to get a little sleep before we set out..he's taking the first leg..and we have four drivers this time..So hopefully we can spread the duties among us..sharing is good right? Nate and Josh have settled in..and are trying to get some shut eye..Zach and Nick are playing on their new kindle fires..a gift from us for good report cards..hoping it makes the ride a bit more pleasant.. though all our kids have always been good travelers..
I've got 2 fresh mugs of coffee..up front here..and that's all I need really..
